How It Started
It all started with Theo, my sweet boy who I adopted from the Western Montana Humane Society.
Theo has separation anxiety and couldn't be alone... at all. This started to create issues and forced me to come up with creative solutions for how to care for Theo in the best way possible. One of those solutions was Doggy Daycare. Theo LOVED doggy daycare and it provided him a safe space while I was at work.
Eventually, I decided my job wasn't lining up with my life goals, and wanted to pursue my own passions. Throughout the next few months while figuring out how to pursue my passions, I started to take on boarding, daycare, and dog walking clients. While doing this and taking care of Theo full time, I found a passion for giving these dogs the best care I possibly could.
But, my space was limiting.
Once I decided I wanted to pursue a lifetime of giving dogs Their Best Day, Everyday. It was time to look for a space to make these dreams come true.
Why We Chose Here
Our goal was to create a space unlike anything else on the market. Our priorities were safety, space, and growth potential.
It just so happened that the PERFECT space became available nearly instantly after we decided to start looking - 13695 LaCasse Lane, our own little doggy paradise.
Why is this property perfect? 6 already fenced 1 acre play areas near the "New Barn," the inside of the "New Barn" was ready to be turned into the perfect dog boarding facility, the outside also had 3 attached fences and an outside, shaded area for more play areas, a large field area that includes a creek perfect for walking paths, and an "Old Barn" area that has the potential for more expansion in the future. Oh yeah, and we have great views of Snowbowl and Ch-paa-qn Peak.
So, Woof Haven was born.

We aren't just focused on the facility, but we also need to provide the best services possible. We want to create a space that isn't just for your dog, but to create a welcoming community center that makes everyone (dogs and humans alike) feel safe and accepted right here in Missoula, MT. Woof Haven proudly collaborates with the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Montana to provide a safe, enriching environment for rescued dogs as they await adoption. With spacious kennels, large outdoor play areas, and dedicated care, these gentle giants have the opportunity to decompress, socialize, and build confidence. Many of these dogs come from challenging backgrounds, and Woof Haven ensures they receive the structure, comfort, and attention they need to thrive. Through supervised group play and one-on-one interaction, each dog gains valuable social skills, helping them transition smoothly into loving forever homes.
Beyond providing boarding, Woof Haven actively supports the rescue’s mission by offering a nurturing space where potential adopters can meet and interact with the dogs in a comfortable setting. Their commitment to the well-being of these majestic dogs goes beyond shelter—it’s about preparing them for a lifetime of happiness.
